Diverse paths to adulthood. Life-historical study on young adults entering higher education and employment

This research project investigates diverse paths to higher education and employment by building a longitudinal life-historical study with young adults who have already participated in our previous ethnographic study. The research project focuses on how young adults build an understanding of themselves and their hopes, possibilities and obstacles in their educational and employment paths and what kinds of resources they draw on to shape their paths and early adulthoods and how do intersecting dimensions of differences entangle into their narration. The project also deals with how the agency becomes constituted in young adults' narration and in the practices of higher education and working life.
