Beskrivning (abstrakt)
TREESNET is an international and multidisciplinary network of leading experts in the field of forest and tree-based ecosystem services and rural livelihoods in the tropics. It aims to substantially increase our understanding of the role of smallholder-managed trees in rural livelihoods and ecosystem service provision among policy makers, donors and practitioners, and find the enabling and hindering factors, as well as alternatives for more inclusive and sustainable smallholder production systems. This will be done both through research (gathering rigorous comparative evidence together with postgraduate students and boundary partners), and through active stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue and co-production of solutions for up-scaling sustainable smallholder systems that preserve or enhance the ability of farm landscapes to support several of the SDGs.
