Intervention study on supporting mathematical skills



The first phase took place during 10/2012 – 05/2013 among first graders, and the second phase in the spring 2014 among second graders in Finland. In the first phase, teachers were trained how to teach counting strategies and mathematical thinking processes as part of TIER1 support. In the second phase, the intervention was conducted in TIER2 level, and focused on low performing students.
