The main research focus in this project is the Meripilaceae family of the fungal order Polyporales containing such polypore genera as Meripilus, Physisporinus and Rigidoporus. This EU Marie Curie International Outgoind Fellowship enables Otto Miettinen to spend a year in David Hibbett's research group in Clark University, MA, USA.
