Strengthening university education in South Ostrobothnia

UCSEdu project wants to respond to the increase in knowledge and level of education in Southern Ostrobothnia by utilizing the benefits of digitalisation. The benefits of university education are to be made as accessible and widely as possible in Southern Ostrobothnia by promoting digital learning opportunities, flexibility and multi-location opportunities. The aim is to create a
new appealing approach for Southern Ostrobothian university education. The project will be carried out at Seinäjoki University Consortium in cooperation with the University of Tampere, the University of Helsinki, the University of the Arts Helsinki and the University of Vaasa.

The focus of the project is on the development of university educational offerings and related operating models. The aim is to build an operating model that provides a more robust, long-term and sustainable implementation base for university education. The project promotes the green transition and the exploitation of digitalisation in the development and accessibility of
new education services. The operating model is being built in active cooperation with the main campuses and partners.

The project's actions will create a new foundation for the development and promotion of university education in the region more effectively in the future. The project also initiates a significant plan for a level increase in university activities, which will continue also from the perspective of research and citizen science.
