Sammanfattning

The fast transformation within societies, technology, and the
environment has boosted the need for innovation, learning, reskilling, and
upskilling. Various European Union funding instruments have boosted
transformation and upskilling. However, research on learning that occurs
between companies within business innovation ecosystems is scarce. Still, it
occurs frequently and could be enhanced. We focused on how small and
medium-sized (SMEs) could be supported in their learning and used semistructured interviews to provide insights into the learning. We interviewed 13
people (females two and males 11), from ecosystem facilitators to the
companies participating in the ecosystems. Our findings so far are promising,
aiding in spotting the learning events, potential tools and rules that are required
for trust building and knowledge transfer, which could grow into knowledge
creation between companies within a business innovation ecosystem
