Again and again the themes of the Chornobyl and its Exclusion Zone appear within the focus of the world’s debates and precise attention, encouraging unexpected perspectives and new approaches to what is overcoming the frames of a historical caesura but resulting in the reconsideration of its historical, environmental, cultural and political agencies. In Markiyan Kamysh’s Oformlandia, or a Walk in the Zone (2015) the Chornobyl Zone is represented like a prism, providing new perspectives not only on the main principles, laws, and value paradigm of the Zone at a particular moment of making a step there, but also encourages clarifying the reality beyond the Zone and reframing the imaginaries of the Chornobyl in the variety of contexts nowadays.
