Forskningsoutput: Kapitel i bok/rapport/konferenshandlingKapitelVetenskapligPeer review

Sammanfattning

The article describes the differences between Russian and Nenets ways of seeing the landscape, the Norht and the village. Patterns related to nomadic way of living are still the basis of Nenets community and sense of place in Kolguyev. Patterns of settled way of living are constantly created within these older patterns. This happens in between the Russian points of departure that see the North as a landscape to be conquered. The core material for the article is collected in field work amongst the Nenets living in Kolguyev island, Northern Russia.
