Sammanfattning

The pyrazoline derivs. I [Ar = Ph, 3-BrC6H4, 2-furyl, etc. X = NH, O] was synthesized by reaction of various chalcones with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol. The isoxazolines I were prepd. by the reaction of various chalcones with hydroxyl amine hydrochloride in presence of sodium acetate using ethanol as a solvent. All the newly synthesized compds. were screened for their antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. thyphi (gram-neg. bacteria), S. aureus, M. luteus (gram-pos. bacteria) and antifungal activity against Candida albicans (fungi).
