This chapter showcases a variety of internationally published practitioner research carried out by a group of English teachers from the University of Helsinki Language Centre. We chose to use the word ‘variety’ in our title as it reflects the broad range of professional interests in the centre shown through our research activities. The individual research projects described in this chapter have been produced both individually and collaboratively, covering topics of learner autonomy, learning strategies, creative writing, peer editing, learning outside the classroom and tracking the learning needs of students over time.
