Sammanfattning

Professor Yakov Grot was involved in all kinds of public entertainments in Helsinki: theatres, concerts, masquerades, of which he wrote to his friend P. Pletnyov, the rector of St Petersburg University . Grot was also entertained in the houses of Finnish aristocracy and intelligentsia. Grot¨s letters give fascinationg information of the Helsinki society and their mores.
